Unhappy Goodbye SC400.....

Well, it's been over three years since I've had my '92 SC400 and I'm finally going to sell her. I've put over 46K miles on it and enjoyed every minute of it when it wasn't in the shop getting the usual things fixed for a car of this vintage.

Since owning this beauty, I have:

-Changed the timing belt, water pump, power steering pump, shocks, lower control arm bushings, rebuilt transmission, shift soleniod, steering rack bushings, a window regulator, battery, 2 sets of tires, stainless steel brake lines, BBK upgrade, new '06 GS430 wheels, and most recently, new leather interiors.

I don't even want to think about how money I've spent keeping her running well.

All of the members of ClubLexus have been awesome. A lot more mature and informative than most forums out there. I would personally like to thank all of the great moderators who have done an outstanding job, OLT deserves a pat on the back.

Now I need to give the SC a nice wash and put her up in the classified..... .....

I'm not terribly sad though....I just bought a brand new car. My first ever. It's a 2006 Mazda RX-8.

It's a 2006 so I'm crossing my fingers Mazda has worked out most of the bugs for this model.

I'm going to keep the car pretty clean. So far, I've tinted, got clear corners and fender strakes. I'll probably drop it an inch and get some 19" black wheels with a chrome lip.

Nice upgrade, but U should consider getting a daily beater. A lot of haters out there that would luv to give you a door ding or two.

Thanks guys. Despite the news of all the recalls, lousy gas mileage, etc....I went with the RX-8 because it drives so well. I love how light and balanced it is. Plus it seats 4 people.

I'm still a big fan of Club Lexus and will be check in all the time. The Car Chat and Clubhouse forums are better then most forums out there.

Cheers!

I cant imagine that it would have worse gas mileage than our hogs! My SC gets 17mpg at best ... .......

Sorry, you have to say goodbye to the SC4. Wish you well with the new car and thanks for the info and help you gave me last time . I'm still saving up some money to start working on my car.
