Well i wanted a carbon fiber trunk and hood for my car and then i didnt after a while. Now im going back into the phase of wanting them. Whats a good place to get a good quality hood ann trunk that will fit almost perfectly and how much am i looking at to spend?

In the thread that O.L.T. linked to someone said Seibon hoods and such are knockoffs and not quality-minded....I call BULL*****. They may be design copies, but the quality is phenominal! Friend of mine has an OEM-style CF hood on his 2005 STi....the Seibon hood fits better than the factory one! It is absolutely excellent.

mine is turning yellow and is cracking on both sides along the edges for some reason...and fitment is kinda off...but maybe that's just me

 

Sounds like someone forgot to put the UV inhibitor in the resin.

Is your CF hood the lightweight one piece race style that uses pins or the slightly heavier two piece that uses the factory latch?

 

Go with authentic Vertex carbon fiber, the only problem with Vertex is the price but your getting 150% quality, and great OEM fit.
