Default Help Me Decide On These Wheels Please!

Hey guys, im having a hard time deciding if i should get these wheels. I have a 98 sc400 and i found a good deal on work vs-ss. Alot of my friends say yes, but a select few said they didnt like it. Here's my car, and here's pix of the wheel and a pic i found of a car and the wheel together.

specs are 18x8 51 offset and 18x9.5 52 offset. Planning on getting some spacers too.

a 75 % of yes and i will go out and get these badboys.

I don't think they are BAD, but they don't really pop.

I like a tighter mesh like CCW or EVO.

I'm a big fan of these wheels, But very similar to the Piaa Super Rozza. Plus the Piaas are more readily available.

well definitely do not get EVO's for mesh...lol...

Depends what which route you'll be taking the car...aggressive looking? Vertex kit or the likes, or luxo-cruiser with AC kit...

They look nice...and for considering a quality wheel...

I voted no, the color/tone of the rim (gunmetal-ish?) looks a little weird on that SC you set for an example. Maybe consider a lighter color? silver or polished?

I do agree with rising_sun, they look like piaa rims...and the offsets are quite high. My personal opinion would be to skip this deal and be on the lookout for another set of rims.

Good luck.

Im looking for more of a conservative look, a nice cruiser w/ the factory kit. the most i'll prob do on this car is exhaust, wheels, suspension, brakes.

i also got the guy to throw in 10mm spacers for free.

I agree with most everyone here. Gorgeous wheels, but not necessarily for this car. Sounds like you're getting a pretty sweet deal on them. I might be tempted too. But I think your best bet is to hold out.

This next bit is just personal preference, but I've never really cared too much for gunmetal or anodized gold set-ups (with a few exceptions). When a wheel is clean, I like it to LOOK clean. Not like it's still full of brake dust.

the wheels look dope but i think there would be more appeal with some 19's instead the color with that size just doesnt do the car any justice. i would hold out unless you're really feelin em

goodf luck with which ever you choose to do.
