One white, one yellow?!?! 97 Tail Light....
Is this right? So now I'm gonna have to buy another new Driver's Side Tail Light?

wow, that is weird. Maybe your tailights have altered color from the sun, or lexus changed the compound in their new tails that have a slightly different color.... sorry i have no finite answers

This is not news, every tail light does it over time. Buy a new tail light or live with it. No, you can't clean it. About your only hope is some simple green poured in the tail and sloshed around hoping it will remove SOME of the yellowing.
It's especially common in the 97 tail.

eventually will the white turn yellow like my drivers side? if so, how long? maybe I'll just keep it the way it is if it will end up being that color in the future after it shows wear.

I just thought of this...worth a shot but since I do have 2 passenger side tail light now, and the only thing wrong with my original one was a cracked Plastic Cover.........what if I were to just take my brand new tail light and remove the new plastic cover and just replace the broken one?? I think that might be possible then I can use both of the originals. thing is I don't know how I would be doing that, I know I read something about putting the tail light in the oven or something but

you can try it, just be careful not to melt it.... there are a few threads on how to do this, just search it. You may just want to practice on your broken one first, then if you feel confident enough, try it on the new one. Only if your up to it though, i dont want you to melt it

acenase, I got your solution! I have a driver side 97+(excellent condition) only thing is that the lens are a little yellow(just like your photo). I felt the same and was afraid of the color mismatch. WE CAN DO A SWAP!! You can either buy my driver side or we can do a swap and of course I'll give you some extra cash since yours is brand new. or You can sell me your yellow passenger and have new taillights!
