converting 93 to 97+ tail lights
#2
It's not a straight swap as a lot of others will lead you to believe. In my case I needed a drill, a dremel, and some other hand tools to complete the job correctly.
On the backside of the tails there are these 4 little screws which have to go into holes in the sheet metel on the rear of your car where the tails sit. The screws are like pegs and must be aligned properly in order to wedge the taillight in there. On the 92-94 tails the screws are configured slightly differently than on the 97 tails so you will need a drill/dremel to either lengthen the holes in the sheet metal on your car so the tail light can slide in easily...or to drill completely new holes. You decide.
It's not hard but DO NOT start this job unless you have a drill and dremel handy

ummmmm just curious but did you buy a 97+ front BUMPER too? Because otherwise you can't fit the fogs or the grill into the earlier style bumper...

I didnt even use a dremel or drill new holes. I just used a regular drill bit through an existing hole and yanked it to the direction that you want to stretch the hole.
As far as the fast blinker, it has been blinking fast for a year already. I can care less

Some people like to use the "just force it in" method but that's not for me, especially when I'm installing some new 97 tails where the plastic could crack or a seal could be broken. No thanks, I'll just drill
