even though i love my SC400, i think it is quite upsetting how restrictive our cars are, it does have a lot of potential
but cmon, theres 3 cats on the exhaust of this sucker!!! overkill?
you can't put so many restrictions on a car then slap on the name "super coupe"

While it would be nice at first thought to bring back a look-a-like sc300/400, it's the fact that they no longer make the car that makes it desirable to own one for me.
After going to the dealership and sitting in a few vehicles, and after the countless comments I get about my nearly stock sc300, I'm proud to have what I have.
People have often commented that it's a "classic" or will one day become a "classic" and I have to agree that it's one of the vehicles that put Lexus on the map.
Yes it would be nice if it had some more modern conveniences such as non glaring HID's, LED tails, and more enjoyable transmission. However one can modernize our vehicles with some sweat, creativity, and time.
I say it's a great car, and the best $10k used car one can find that isn't another "me too" I want to be like everyone else type of vehicle.
Lexus should step up and make a new coupe but something that is new, not just a look-a-like sc300/sc400. One that is in the $40-60k range would be nice! And something that is more aggressive looking than the current sc430 design.
So in conclusion, they need a newer version, but not something that mimics the classic.

The Super Coupe was made by Ford and it was a varient of the Thunderbird.
The general consensus of the meaning behind the Lexus "SC" is "Sports Coupe". (as defined within the luxury segment) Which is exactly what it is. A sporty, luxury coupe.
