The one thing i've learned from my time in japan is do not get caught up in the numbers game. I've seen 400hp cars here that would beat 600+ hp cars in the states. It's a weird thing. My soarer only has 455hp, but i've beat 500+ hp cars that are lighter...
To be honest, the guys that run huge hp numbers are extremely concerned with how to put the power to the ground, they just like posting vids of their cars on 18's and 19's doing highway runs from 60-170. 90% of the supras on the forums with 500+rwhp have a set of drag racing slicks or radials. This car reaches peak boost around 4k to redline, obviously with the max rwhp from 6500-7000rpm. I would be making more power up at the 7000+ rpm range if i had cams but so far its stock. Almost every supra on supraforums that is TT is also running -12.5's and below with just basic parts. The funny thing is that to make the most power possible, and at the lowest boost, they have to have the largest turbos. Using a T61 that hits fulll boost at 3800 is very nice but you have one problem, you have to use race gas to make 550-600rwhp. Where on a 74gts or even garrets big gt47, they make 600rwhp at around 18 psi on pump, where the t61 made the same at 28 pounds. It is funny when u look at a big single supras dyno sheet and they dont' make over 400rwhp till like 5k rpm which is the price you paying for wanting to make 8-or 900 at the wheels efficiently. The power is also very usable but only in two places, at the track, and on the highway. There is a reason why we have 8 second full wheight supras on stock suspension running around :P

It is the Jersey car, and thanks for all the compliments everyone. The single build is gonna start soon :P
Lovin that. Looks like the footwork is ready for the big #s.

Nice clean car, but I'm callin BS on the HP figures. No way on the stock twins at 15-17 psi..unless the car has an AEM then MAYBE.

It does have Supra TT brakes and a TT 6pd rear.
Wheel hop sucks...I got rid off my wheel hop by changing to a softer rear bushing and not stiffer...Also coilovers will get rid of wheel hop too...Dampening and or softer suspension is what you need to elliminate wheel hop not stiffer.......

The car has HKS Hipermax Drag coilovers and its setup perfect but with the 17 drag radials it hops. In our supras we always put poly/stiffer bushings in the rear to eliminate wheel hop. But the ideal setting for drag racing is stiff front, and soft rear=best weight transfer and also keeps the front end from going down and destroying your et. The car needs new front and rear bushings so i'll have to experiment.

Nice car! It really is beautiful! Lucky for you with the 6spd, lol. I'm still on the hunt for one! What size piping is that? Is the cold side piping bigger in diameter than the hot side? Also, are you running US spec twins, or JDM twins? Post up some pics of your interior, and the dyno chart too!

Your best bet with the 6spd is to just do it yourself. Highly unlikely you find one that someone has parted with. And this thread is really old who knows what his car looks like now
