is 200k on a sc400 alot of miles for a 92 sc400??

Question is 200k on a sc400 alot of miles for a 92 sc400??

is 200k alot of miles for a well maintain 1992 lexus sc400???

yes, as far as the rubber bits are concerned. replace everything rubber and it'll likely be fine.

I just picked my 92 up a week ago and it has 237K and drives well still, it was well mantained!

ok guys thanks on the help, just that i have my car posted for sale for $3700 on other sites and a few people told me that 200k is alot of miles. i guess they dont know about these cars

275k and still counting.....daily driven

People tend to freak out about the high mileage, I've had mine for sale in a couple of places. Everyone loves the car until they here the mileage. Usually, they drive old fords or chevy's that max out about 150k or earlier.

I'm at 105,000 on my 1992 SC400 and she's ready to blow any day now, burns more oil then gas. Rattles like crazy, drives like crap, pulls, shimmies you name it...Don't get a Lexus there total lemons.... Get a Ford or Chevy they last much longer.......

(Just kidding of course) Like OLT said all the mounts, bushings, etc...usually are worn out at that point and need replacing...The engine and tranny if serviced should run and run and run....Just like the Energizer rabbit.... 300k on a Lexus if maintained should be no problem... They are built like tanks....

i bought mine last week a 94 sc300 with 104k miles which i think is pretty low esp for a 94 and it runs great for the most part

my ex's 95 sc400 has 300kmiles on it and its running great orignal engine no major stuff besides timing belt
