Default S-AFC and Custom Intake

Anyone know what kind of HP I would get with just a plain custom intake, and an S-AFC? Would it be more or less than SRT's 25 HP system or the dragon one. Thanks, Adam

My online buddy dynoed 29 rwhp with intake and S-AFC alone. He has a 2JZ-GE powered Toyota Supra (that's the non-turbo).

Your engine is bigger, I am sure you'll be able to get better numbers than that. As far as the intake goes, he has the Apexi one.

With an intake? Not much. I would say 2 rwhp. We're not talking about the horse power at the crank here.

So I"m guessing I would be better off with a custom intake and S-AFC then?

AFC stands for Air Flow Computer, it regulates the mixture of air and fuel. Now, the MSRP is 429 bucks I think. Most local stores sell it for 400 bucks while at some places on the internet you can get it for 309 to 330 bucks.

Assuming the intake you buy flows as well as Swifts, the S-AFC should be able to post the same or higher HP numbers. It will also give you a cool blue display unit, cost about the same, and offer greater flexibility down the road if you were to do other changes like exhaust, etc.

Default safc is awesom

I'd have to say out of all my mods so far the S-AFC was the biggest bang for the buck. Really awesome, I'd say over 20HP just from basic adjustments. Once it's on the Dyno the gains will be even more.

Wire in an A/F guage at the same time.

The next best mod was the dual electric fans.

Make your own Custom intake, the swift one is WAY to overpriced.
