My whole dash is out now. I know I can send it off to get the leds fixed, but the one thing im not sure of is the lights that show the mileage on the car. Mines is totally out is there a fix for this or should just get a whole new cluster?

you'll need a new cluster or find a new ODO. (not very likely).

That is a heater element, when it goes bad the grid no longer heats the cathode and it fails to light. if you look very very close you'll see the heater element. I detailed this in the ice blue thread up there showing you the parts of the cluster.

Thanks man and whats so bad is that its a 5-speed and those clusters are hard to come by.

you can use any SC odo you can find. it just plugs into the board. Here, I just sifted through 1100 posts to find this.

PS- don't blow the bank trying to find an ODO unit, just grab a cheapie if you see one around because there is a TINY chance the board of the cluster has a flaw, but usually the odo grid burns out.

Both are rare.
