CEL light and traction control light come on daily now?
so atleast once a day if not more for no reason while Im driving or stopping, sitting in traffic my cel light along with the trac light come on for like 2-3 seconds then go away what the heck is going on?
no ill symtoms or anything when this happens. Idle is perfect, new plugs, wires, seafoamed, t body cleaned etc all within 100 miles.
where should I start looking? Im not turning off the traction either when this happens.
it is annoying and a bit scary to see the cel light flash when your driving to work etc.
thanks

Well, the CEL and Trac light will go on together. Since yours flash on then off, I'm inclined to think it has something to do with the traction control and not the engine.
Have you tried to pull the code??

The lights don't stay on longer than 3 seconds at most. today it happened 2x on the drive in to work. Both lights flash in sync with each other for 2-3 seconds then go away and will not come on for a long time or if at all
if they stayed on then it might be easier to pull codes or get it diagnosed.

If your obdII, i believe you can go to a local autozone (if you guys have them there) and they will check the code for you for free. If its comming on and off, there is a good chance that the code is stored in the ecu. I wouldn't replace anything until you can confirm whats tripping the cel.

The 95 sc300 are obd1. My old 95 used to have a similar problem. The TRAC light would come on and I would have to reset the relays. They look like giant fuses in your engine bay. There's 4 of them and 2 of them are for the TRAC. Check that and see if it helps. As far as the CEL, I'll check the service manual and see waht that means for you.
