Default Newer model headlights

before i get chewed out... i searched lol

i wanted to know what the difference was between 92-96 headlights were and 97+ headlights were

what im gathering from reading random posts is that there is a daytime running light on the newer ones and that is it

where would this be located though? pics?

inform me if there are any other differences as well plz,

I think I read in a post that the 98+ headlights have a sharper cutoff line.

I was just going to comment on that - if I'm not mistaken Lexus / Toyota slightly modified the curvature of the lens it's self inside the projector to improve it's focus.

Huuhh!!

There is a Difference in the ones that came on SC's the from the factory and the ones you buy from Lexus(Toyota) parts now.

Look in the Lighting section, look up Iron Cobra's HID Lens post.

i'm about to get a HID conversion kit in not too long and possibly do some retro fitting ot the bezel

is it worth dishing money for new ones?

audi2nr on here did my headlights with some projectors out of an Audi A8. Message him to see what he suggests.

Brand new headlights are ALWAYS worth it. No matter how hard you rub your used lenses, it will never be able to achieve brand new clarity.

By the way, if you buy the new headlights, be sure to get it clear bra'd so it doesn't get oxidation...

Damn....never even thought of doing that. I was thinking having them shot with a Clear Coat of some type.

well i mean i know about the cleaning will never get them perfect part

I just bought a pair and let me tell you, they look damn sexy...tossed in some in some McCulloch 6ks and its very pretty

From what I know, no HIDs were offered on the SC3/400s from the factory.
