My next SC will be an RSP.... or a 98/99 Rose Red Pearl. If it came down to it, I would choose RSP. Just a beautiful color, imho.

imo

if the price tag in part is due to the fact that the car is RSP, then it is dumb to buy it for that reason

someone mentioned this earlier... "they only made 56 (or w/e the number was) RSP SC's bc thats all that people ordered", its only rare due to its own unpopularity at the time

if you like it then go ahead, don't buy it bc people on here are telling you to due to the fact that you can't find many.

If you end up liking it down the road, respray the car, you're not stuck with that color for like or anything :-P

Its only "rare" cause no one wanted that color back in 1997.

Whats the count now...53? 54? RSP's total? So 54 or so people liked that color on the SC, and ordered/bought it.

Rare???? Yes
Rare to the point of worth something over other 97' SC's??? Doubt it.

Bring it on!
I think the exact oppisit. I think the RSP looks so much better on the SC then a Supra.
We have a 2JZ-GTE powerd RSP sc300 down here. He works at Lexus so I guess he gets parts for cheap.
I would get an RSP over any color I think. I like Plantium, white, black and the red too though. Infact that red is growing on me alot. But givin the chance, I think I would get a RSP over anything.

I got an rsp and I didn't even know about the color till I saw this one for sale. I was on the edge whether to buy it or not but the black/tan interior sold me for sure. Now, I get more compliments a day than I ever did on my old 92 blk/blk sc. I love it either way and it def looks rare and elligant!! RSP

Well I have a question about this as well. How many of you have seen a 98 sc400 RSP with the black/tan interior? I have never even heard of one nor seen one. Today i seen one at a local dealership and the RSP caught my eye as I rode by. At first I thought it was a supra so I turned around to take a look. As soon as pulled up I was like damn it's an 97 rsp SC. Talked to the guy and he said it was a 98 I thought to myself that this guy did not know what he was talking about. anyways opened the door and seen the production date of 04/98. How many of you have seen that year RSP? Oh and i did run the paint code just to make sure and the door jam says the car is supposed to be RSP.

I think the RSP really has to grow on you.

I've always been a fan of cars in rare factory colors (my first car was almost a lime(biscane) green 95 Eagle talon) then my second dsm was "paprika red pearl" and now I have a RSP sc.

I had always liked the way the RSP looked on supras, and always wanted one. I never could agree with the 25,000-30,000$ price tags. Sure I could probably afford it, but I would be broke as a joke and eating ramen 24/7. Plus I'll be dammed if I'm going to pay more for a supra than the same year C5 vette.

When I spotted the RSP sc, I knew I had to have it. Some love the color, and some tell me "thats a nice purple Lexus you got there son."

I get more compliments from older people. I had a truck driver chew my ear off for an hour once at work, talking about how he loved that car & supras, that the new sc's are retarded looking (I agree), ect. and the other day I had a guy in his mid 40's pull up next to me on a bike so he could give me the thumbs up.

Good point. I've got a '95 Integra for when the Lexus is down and I've always LOVED the supersonic blue pearl color. Mine's green though.
