Hi all -
I have a 92 SC400 with about 120k on it. Runs great, love it to death, etc. It makes a noise when braking, though. It's kind of a tap-tap-tap-tap-tap that starts when I break from any speed above say 20mph and lasts less than 2 seconds. It's a very faint noise, and gets slower and quieter as it dies out. When sitting in the driver's seat, the noise seems to originate from somewhere high up in the firewall to the right of the transmission hump. At first I thought it had something to do with the ventilation system because it sounded something like a fan slowing and hitting against something, but now I'm not so sure. I have never heard the noise except when braking.
Anyone heard this? Sorry if this has been covered - I'm not on this board much.
