Default What I've been up to lately...

Here's what I've been up to lately guys. To all who have seen my gold car over and over again, it will be no more. Originally, I was gonna keep everything a secret and then reveal everything at once. That thread would be so massive. I decided to break it up in segments. This segment reveals the dismantling of my old SC. It's the beginning step for my next project. 3 months into it, I must admit that it has been an adventure!!! Most of the work was done by my tech and I. It's been pretty interesting so far and I'm sure you guys would enjoy this ride as well

First Step: Front bumper removal...

No more headlamps...

No tail lamps...

No rear bumpers...notice the Magnaflow cans...

All that has been removed...

You can barely see my other coupe in the background(Not the platinum one!)

Continued....

Removing the TT front brakes....

Removing the rear cross drilled/slotted rotors and donating them to a fellow SC owner...

Last shot, nothing was left behind....between 5 techs and I, we raided whatever was salvagable. I donated the exhaust, antenna mast and motor, speakers, bumper supports, rear seats, horn, and a bunch of other misc. junk.

And all of the goods going to the bodyshop!

Yo O.L.T.
I've got a blackened Climate control unit and a Cluster with 296,xxx miles I can donate to you for experiments! Let me know!

I can't wait for the next installment!

It will soon be junked....the rear subframe was bent...I slid into a curb last year(it was raining and my tires were bald)...Despite all of my efforts(and my bodyshop), we just could not re-correct the issue. I was to buy a new subframe but my decision to get a 5-speed 300 far outweighted it. Thus, turning this car into a part-out.

Here are the only shots I have left...

I had to keep my old trunk lid and spoiler(This lid had its emblem holes welded/filled)....

The donor lid(Thanks Eugene a.k.a. Vredkiynot )...

Seats and other trim pieces removed...I have BIG plans for the interior...

This is the interior before we ripped out almost everything....notice the donor seat...it's grey...LoL

That's for now Cal....what's up with your ride man??...I see you got some new goodies for your whip....gold Endless Calipers...

Sure...Why not..

Here's my plan:

Exterior: 97 Conversion...nothing special....

Interior: Going black as much as I can and the seats will be Saddle Leather(I like those 2004-2005 sportdesign GS300's that are gray on saddle)

Wheels: CCW's

Engine:GTE...yes Pat...GTE!!!!

I think that's good enough info....for now

You guys have been on the top of my list for awhile now. I'm not much of an audio guy but I would sure love a bit extra bass. Audio mods are last on my mod list. Off topic - If you ever need anything, you should stop by Lexus of Oxnard sometime
