no 6000k has a bluish tint to it

6000k is right where you want to be for a bmw look

4300k is more mercedes / lex, its more pure looking

8000k is a deeper blue and is a bit more aggressive and ricish, distorts your vision way too much on the color spectrum that you see from the interior cabin, will begin to hurt your eyes on long trips

whoever was asking about the price on the 8000k HID kit, whether it is 4300, 6000, or 8000 it makes no difference in price, the 3200 gold though i believe is a bit more expensive though, its the brightest and is usually put in for fogs

heres our bulb types:

Low Beam: 9006
High Beam: 9005
Fogs: H3

hope that helps

Plug and play kits are notorious for poor (to no) cutoff. Bad spread of light. Glare. Improper rating of bulbs. Cheaply made ballasts. The list goes on and on.

It's prefectly fine that you bought an inexpensive kit and that you are happy with the results. But don't claim that they are as good as a quality retrofit. They just aren't.

Have your buddy drive your car and you get in some other vehicle and drive towards each other. See at what point the glare from your headlights causes you to loose sight of the road in front of you. Trust me, it will happen.
the poor to no cutoff is not dependent on the quality of the bulbs that you put in (given that they work) it depends on the housing and the tempreture (lower yeilds a better cut off than higher tempretures say 5000k vs 8000k)

and as long as you have your headlights pointed correctly, you will not blind anyone in the opposing lane

whoever was asking about the price on the 8000k HID kit, whether it is 4300, 6000, or 8000 it makes no difference in price, the 3200 gold though i believe is a bit more expensive though, its the brightest and is usually put in for fogs
thats true, i didnt know that there was a 3200, but i had to pay a little more for my 3000k

Beautiful. Love how the HID's look on your car, but love the fogs even more. Are thsoe fogs yellow HID's or bulbs?
they are 3000k HID's, i was trying to get the IS300 yellow look which 3000k gets you pretty damn close, better than any regular bulbs ive tried.

so.. is the light blinding to onlookers? I have read about this kit on another thread....looks good though
as long as you have your headlights aimed right, it shouldnt be a problem

the drill attachment was only used to buff the lens, after all the sanding was done we just put meguires plastic X and did the whole lens inside and out.

the delined area was all done by hand using 800 grit then 1000 then 2000 but you do not need to mask off the rest of the light if ur careful i guess, its not tooo hard just takes a little while
