i can't justify spending >2k on something that doesn't do that much other than make the car look pretty.

if i get a kit it's gotta be widebody or else it's not worth it...so in that case i'm Authentic???
but right now i am OEM, and if i got a kit, it would be knock off, because 300<2000.
When trying to look pretty, function/form > authenic wins
the Car as a whole > Fake Wins...unless you got the cash to do authentic and do all the others (susp, lsd, engine. . .)

I'm a college student, f authentic for now. . .and when i grad in a year, i'll prob still say f it...my dream is to own a Noble M12.

I have a stock 97 body, but if I were to get a kit, it would be quality knock off from raceonusa or something.

Isn't "quality knockoff" an oxymoron?

a little bit of everything. it really depends on what part of the car it is.

bodykits i prefer authentic.
wheels can be decent to authentic.
my taillights are a diy so i dunno how that fits.
my hids are ebay ones.
leather seats are off leatherseats.com
trunk shocks are just random ones i got from lee auto.

it really depends.

I didn't do any research and bought a vspeed kit. Once I have some more cash I'll get a 97 oem.

OEM ftw. I would never get rid of the stock bumpers. Simple and cleans the way to go.

I'd say I'm OEM, but I'll splash a little Authentic in there.
I say people who go knock-off shouldnt be owning Lexus' anyways.. knock-off is okay for Honda's.

If its good quality, I would rock it. I prefer JDM named crap.

I'd have to agree with some of the earlier posts here about OEM being the best. Lexus got it just perfect after the 97' facelift. The front grille gave it a more personality and natural look. The subtle side skirts along with the front bumper's design gave it a more aggressive look without being too obnoxious. The skirt around the rear bumper also helped hide the mufflers while more prominently accenting the dual exhaust.

Personally I think bodykits just destroy the style and class of the car. Save those things for the Civics

I think i said oem on here when i had my 97 sc .Now i will say Authentic because of my jic kit .It does hurt to see you bumper getting scraped when going in certain places .I can no longer go to arbys or shell , even leaving my community this thing scrapes .When it finally breaks best beleive i will not be buying an authentic because of the price and I will have a better peice of mind knowing its a knock off and not an expensive jic front.
