ok, well i used to have a thread(cant Find) where i was looking at buying one and found what i thought to be one for 14.99, it was just the plastic insert. so i spent $47.97 on this one which included shipping. Its very cheaply made (overdrive wire has already snapped in half many times, and ive had to recconect) and very hard to install, and it doesnt match very good, BUT DAMN, its better then the dildomatic.Tell me what you think.
my other question was is it real bad to shift my car from 1, 2, d occasionally well driving to get up to speed faster, or drop down into 2nd in a turn?
Thanks,
vince

Is that a RAZO or a knock off as mentioned below? I was planning on getting the RAZO CM-RA192 with the chrome top and and black grip...can't find anything better out there.
BTW, I rooted for the Gators in our office pool...Go SEC!!! I was sitting on $100 in an office pool until Tebow scored to screw the point spread...$45 works though. Guess that's what I get for supporting the Gators.
Oh, and...GO DAWGS!!!! Sic 'EM!! Woof, Woof, Woof!

I do it all the time whenever I really drive my car hard, but otherwise i just throw it in D
I don't think its really bad, when you upshift that way you aren't doing anything the car doesn't do on its own unless of course you pin the rev limiter everytime, but even so its not hurting the transmission. When you downshift however you may be putting extra strain on the tranny and if you use the engine to brake by downshifting you will put extra wear on the engine

but if you can blip the throttle by downshifting from drive to second it's much easier on the drivetrain. When downshifting: brake, throw into second and tap the throttle to get the revs up into second gear. I've tried from second to first, but it won't do it smoothly.

...he already said:
so, I'd say no...based on his initial post of course
Vince, I'm not particularly feelin' it because nothing chrome is in the interior, and when I think about it I really wouldn't want any chrome in the interior anyway. But if the OEM shifter was bothering you that much then hell, do whatcha like. Personally I'd prefer to buy a used OEM shifter and modify it to my liking and have the leather re-wrapped. I've looked into it and the leather wrapping aspect isn't that expensive, but modding the shifter might be too much of a pain for someone not experienced with plastics and such. Just a thought.
You can also do some research on the "Levoc" shifter and see what you guys think about that one
