Angry yet another bad cluster... (needle illumination)

so, recently got my first SC... 3 of the 4 needles are out. no flickering of any kind (they may have before i got the car).

i have searched this over and over. i just want a final, concrete resolution to this absurdity: is there someone i can send my cluster to? ...or any other way not to compromise my calibration/accuracy

can this repair be done without removing the needles? how impossible are the clusters to remove? i dont even know if the dash has to come out

found a great writeup on Lextech's link. i have contacted them with all my questions... i think i will be sending out my cluster shortly.

here's the weird thing... my SC is a 92 and my needles (or the only remainding lit up needle) is amber/red... on their site, they suggest that 92-94's came with white (which is what i want in mine)... so in other words they may not be able to change mine to white???

I think youre looking at what they 'can' offer you instead of what youre offering them. They can make your needles white, green, red, blue...Im planning on doing this as soon as I can find time to buy a new cluster because the one in my car has a AM tach in it. ..psst...get the white!

your right the 92's color is red or amber but if you look during the day you'll notice thats the color of the light not the needle itself.

Titus, I know you're new but please try to use our search feature. 99% of the questions you have as a new SC owner have already been answered in millenuim past.

You said you searched for an answer to your cluster issues, but didn't come across ANY Lextech threads? I find that very hard to believe, but if you say so.

Point is, instead of starting threads when you have basic questions and waiting for someone to answer you...you can get an answer instantly by using search and reading threads. Making new threads on old beaten to death topics simply adds MORE threads to the database, usually useless threads containing no helpful info whatsoever. Please help to reduce this.

...and welcome to the club.

i appreciate you trying to be mild in your criticizm. here's the deal, i am a member of many forums on which i literally have no posts, although i had joined 2-3 years ago... all due to their extensive database where i had all my questions answered. i figured i'd never get to join a "community" if i never post... NOT TO SAY THAT I STARTED THIS THREAD just to get "involved" or my post count up... i did search extensively, i had come across Lextech immediately, problem is, all the threads i looked at were outdated... meaning i wanted to make sure everyone was still standing behind them, AND checking to see if there were something new or better out there.

so, Lextech will be fixing my cluster, all because there are enough satisfied customers to stand behind them
