Default Gas Milage...sc300 vs. sc400

What are you guys gettin avg MPG?

I am going to be selling my DD civic and was going to pick up an sc300...although I see some very nice and affordable sc400's for sale...

I was just wondering. . . What avg mpg do you guys get?

Sc300 vs. sc400

I drive 50+ miles EVERY day..sometimes 150-200 miles a day.....

Here's a little tip a 10year Lexus mechanic told me.

Gas cap...if its original...change it. It was 15bucks at Lexus and made a world of difference. I was averaging 16-19 now I'm at 19-22 and for the big highway road trip....26-28.

As far as which is better on gas...get a freaking Prius

I never understood the gas cap thing. How does changing your gas cap make your gas mileage go way up like that?

Awhile back i posted about a hissing sound coming from my gas cap like 4-5hrs after the car was parked/turned off.

So when I was at Lexus, I told one of the mechanics about it. He told me that the same thing happened with his wife's ES and some jargon about air in the fuel tank and pressures...bottom line change the gas cap...reset the computer

I did and no B.S. my MPG went up. Hey, I didn't believe it either..Either it worked or Achmed the "gas fairy" lives in my trunk

I'm building alot of gas tank pressure, would that cause me to leak gas when the car shut off? BTW 93 SC400, 13 city/19 hwy.

Easiest way of resetting the ECU is disconnect the battery for 10-15 minutes.
