97 5spds - anyone here have one?
I've been on the search for MONTHS now for a nice 97 5spd - but I'm telling you I haven't come across a single one anywhere!? Anyone here have one and if so was it a hard find? I know I'm limiting myself by just looking for the 97, but I'd like to have the newest one possible. In the begining I thought I would be picky on the color - but at this point, I'll take anything. The wife is getting a little fed up with me being so picky - but she knew I was nutty like this prior to walking down the isle.
Any pics would be appreciated!

I'm in the same boat as you, looking for a '97 5-speed. I saw a damaged one on an insurance auction in Texas about 2-3 months ago. But the damage was too severe so thats why I didnt pick it up. Other than that I've seen NOTHING

I've got one!! It's not for sale though.
As much as I'm sure you're going to hate it, I looked for 8 months for mine... However, I would only settle for a blk/blk '97 5spd, so you'll probably be able to find one quicker. I did buy it from another member here, then I flew out to LA, bought it, and drove it back to Omaha =0). My wife thought I was ridiculous too for being so picky. I don't have access to my pics out here - I'm deployed right now and my SC is chillin in the garage, safe from the treacherous feet of snow at home.
Anyway, good luck with the search - stick with it and only get what you want though!

Wow - strange dichotemy here.
At first I was glad that I wasn't the only one looking all over the country, willing to fly to and drive home - but the other side of the coin is that now I know there is a lot of competition
Better jump on it if you see it out there!

If you can't wait, then a 95-96 with the 97+ conversion is the only other way to go.
It took me a very long time to find my hardtop/cloth 5-speed, 4 years of looking at only a handfull of them. Then, I came across one I really liked. Although not in the greatest condition, but it is the one for me. Now, it's getting a full makeover...front to back, with only the best parts

Wow - waiting four years - I hope not!
Luckily this is another "toy" car so I don't have to rush, but I hope to find one soon. I currently have a cherry 96 convertible 300z and big rockcrawler Jeep and this'll replace my daily 98 bone stock civic that can hardly get out of it's own way. I can't wait. I've always considered a 96 or 95 based on some of the amazing conversions I've seen here. I let a beautiful (prolly a 9 out of 10) 96 in Delaware go when I first started looking thinking "I can't buy the first car I see" and in retrospect I should've jumped I haven't seen anything even close since then. Hell - unless I'm not looking in the right place, I haven't seen a lot of quality 5spd 96's or 97's out there right now either!
