Hello,
I searched but could not find what I was looking for. Im in the market for a sc300 with black interior and it seems they are hard to find. Does anyone know the productions numbers of black vs. tan interior?

tan interiors are much more numerous than black interiors, but they made a lot of both..keep looking and be patient, you'll find one

I seem to remember reading somewhere in my search for one that they didn't make black interiors till 95-96-ish area... Someone correct me if I'm wrong, I might very well be.

Thanks for the replys. Does anyone know if it was a 95+ option? Now that I think about it Im not sure if ive seen any earlier models in black.

yea 95 was the first year they offered black interiors. so if you're set on a black interior SC, look for a 95+ model

mine just popped up... it was... 93 black/tan 5 spd...or 97 black/black auto...guess which one i got...although i kinda regret it =(

Baoser; I think you might have bought one of the 97, auto, black on black sc's I was lookin at, lol. If thats the car, it sounded like a good buy. I really want a stick also, but its getting hard to wait. Anyways good luck with the car and introduce it in a thread With Lots of Pics. Back on topic, I seem to find more 97+ cars with black interior.

im currently shopping around for an SC w/ black interior as well. so dam hard to find. i only came across two, and both have salvage titles.

They are very hard to find. I originally wanted a silver or black with black interior with a 5-speed. They I knew I wasn't going to find for a reasonable price. So I opted for an auto and found a RSP with black interior.

Black Interior and 5-speed are EXTREMELY rare. It can either be because 1.) not many were produced in that combo, 2.) people who have them aren't willing to sell them, and 3.) the ones on the market are sold before you can get to even look at one. Many of the black interiored SC's I found were '97+ models, but the price of these are above what the demograph of people that buy these cars would normally pay.

yea but then again there's the chance of getting lucky. when one of my friends got his GSR totalled, he got interested in the SC from me. After just 2 weeks of looking, we found a 95 platinum/black 5spd SC3 at a mazda dealership, was asking 13k. that weekend we went and picked it up right away because after he called in like the middle of the week, the dealership was getting calls left and right regarding the car. btw, we found it on autotrader, it was up for like 2 days before we saw it.
