New to the forum!
Hi everyone, I am new to the forum. I have a 98 SC300, pearl white with tan leather. I actually just purchased the car two weeks ago after years of wanting one. Needless to say, I am completely satisfied with the experience. I am looking for a source for aftermarket parts, such as an exhaust and maybe some clear corner lights. Also, is there a package to get the high/low/foglights with the HID appearance? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Welcome to ClubLexus! You picked the right place to ask questions about your car...all the experts are here...somewhere.
As for exhaust, I went with a custom made setup...that way I could remove the cats and have everything 3". Plus it's cheaper...you can get it done for less than $400.
They also have a couple pre-made setups, GReddy and a couple other companies make exhausts, but they cost $800 and up. Ouch.

Well I bought the mufflers from the shop also, so if you already have the mufflers, piping shjould only be 200 or so.
This car costs more to mod than a RX-7....since it doesn't have much aftermarket support. There is a lot more now than 1 year ago...but still most stuff is custom made, or imported.

Well for the power, its cheaper than a 3rd gen RX-7... and it also won't blow the motor if you predetonate by accident either...
Damn there are a lot of people with RX-7s that want/just bought SC300s... what is this rotary world coming to?
I know 2 guys off the top of my head from outside the forums that are wanting/just bought a SC300... now you, and Black94RX7TT, Keith13B, and Nolongera13bfan... and myself... GEEZus

i dont own either of the cars, but those are the two cars i narrowed down to. im leaning towards getting the sc300 though, only because im still in school and dont have a lot of money to maintain the rx7.

I've owned every generation of RX-7 and love them. They are cheap to build, if you do the work yourself, but pricy if you buy the name brand boltons and piece meal your car together.
The two cars go hand in hand in my opinion. The SC is a great sporty luxo car that can be made to perform and still retain the classiness. While the RX-7 is the perferct weekend car to raise hell with. They tear thru the corners and **** off all the corvetts, camaros, and mustang owners. The RX is an all out original sports car. Designed from day one to be raced- History lesson - in 78' the rx-7 was designed soley for racing. It sold so well, that a street version was produced in 79'. Fun as hell to drive, and can be modified to beat juat about anything on the road - yes; including the T'd Sc's out there - sorry guys! Their strong piont is their ability to handle the road, as well as the power. Remember there is more to racing than just a straight line.
Any way - I'll keep talking if someone doesn't slap me.
Welcome to the forum - and glad to see you're also a part of the rotary family.
Keith
P.S. - Any porting done on the 95'?

I have noticed that as well, alot of guys with rotaries are into the SC300. Maybe it is the fact that the Supra is such a great car that we can get away with buying the Lexus version and not feel as guilty!!! Anyways, yes, I have a streetport which was done by K&D Rotary. The car is very strong and has about 437rwp. You are totally correct though, the car is not meant to be driven on a daily basis, but rather best when enjoyed on the weekends. Kinda like a good liquor!
