great mod
just curious, did the lip have to be extend that much to accomadate the 97 bumper...?

the lips are preformed with a curve, or are they soft enough where they will follow the new curve of the 97 bumper?

Yes it does have to be extended or it will look like my old daily driver bumper which was short on each end. Nice work Tanner, i always wanted to do this but was to damn lazy..haha

see how you can see it ending a few inches short before the actual end of the bumper.

Wassup Ryan, ahhh I miss my Auto Couture...I bet you do too!! I see it every month around the airport and it's all bus up!!! too bad, it was a sweet car!!!

Correct it has to be extended to fit properly.

Hey Ryan is that Royal Sumit?? looks familiar.

tanner

After reading your post... I thought of something, why not extend the ends (twice the work but it won't be as weak) instead of the middle. I'll try that with my next pre-97 lip.

Looks nice, I would like to do this mod. Just wondering about the bondo, Has it cracked away from the plastic? Bondo is not really designed to mate to plastic. And it is in a vunerable place.

Good post, good DIY.
I wonder how it would look if the lip was molded to the bumper.

how is it holding up for you, if u still have it?
