I went high-tech to remove the emblems....hairdryer and fishing line It was really easy once you get them heated and slowly peeled them off using my hands. I did not remove any of the old glue and just put some epoxy on the old glue to reapply the emblem. I gave it some pretty good pulls the day after and they would not budge.

After researching, I found the center trim removal would be more trouble than it was worth. That is when I decided to mask off instead. Used sheets of copy paper to wedge inbetween the dash and trim to make sure no paint got through. Used masking tape over the vents and easy to trace out using razor blade. Then I coverd the rest of the interior with a car cover A couple of coats and pulled it outside with everything rolled down to air out...presto. No spray dust or spillovers, but you have to be patient when taping everything off not to leave any open areas.

As for paint, I used Plasti-Kote which is designed to stick better on fiberglass and plastic.

Did you remove your side pin strips? I also had mine removed..

You said you pealed them off. They should have been painted on if factory. I had my buffed off using a polishing compound.

They must have not been factory because they were a pin stripe that just sticks on. Thank goodness they were not factory because buffing them off would have been 100 times more difficult.

Thanks for all the compliments. This took me one day and I am still smiling every time I get into the car. Something so simple made a world of difference.
