Checked out an SC today.
Well i met up w/ a prospective seller today to check out an SC400. The car is a 95 Teal Mist Metallic w/ a 97+ front conversion. The seats arent ripped, but the leather is cracked a bit. he claims its 95k+ miles. Since it was a theft recovery he said the interior was stripped, and it now has a cluster from an older car w/ 220K miles. Dash doesnt work though, (RPM and Speedo dont work, but temp and fuel do) other than that it seems to be pretty decent condition. Headlights and fogs dont work, but high beams do. all in all he's calling $3500, should i bite? btw it does have a 907 title. but even so, isnt 3500 a pretty decent price.

Stay away from that car, move on, trust me you'll find more cherry SC's out there worth buying.
Cheap car but can be worth over 1000 headaches.

I don't know... what I know now.. I wish I would have brought a salvaged SC...with the money I spent and going to spend, I could have done the engine swap, coilovers, interior swap, paint and Carputer...I guess it depends on what you want ..

thanks alot guys. well right now i need a car, and finding an SC thats not overpriced, or salvaged around this area is becoming harder and harder. As much as i dont want to, i might start looking into some 95+ 240sx's as well.

Try hard, and with a little luck, you'll find your sc. I found mine with clean title (just dirty) for 400 bucks, and it drove to my house.
I was playing around with the idea of doing a vq35 swap into an sc.
...but then quickly snapped out of it.
