My Borla Exhaust/lexussc400.com
Alright here are my pictures of my borla exhaust. I ordered it from lexussc400.com and they gave me a good deal of $600. The service was great...I talked to Chris(smooth8) and he is a nice guy and will answer any questions you might have. He has a lot of neat ideas like a full exhaust.........a chip that alone gives 20-25 HP along with an intake him, madmax400, and Weapon-R are putting together. Well everyone's been asking about my borlas so here they are.
The borlas are not loud at all, actually pretty quiet. It emits a very nice racing tone(not ricey at WOT and is very deep toned. It's perfect for me.....still sounds like a lexus. Hope this helps.....Adam

Striking a pose...
Borla is expensive, that's all I'm gonna say about that. Record some sounds of the car, and compress them to mp3 till you get under the 100kb limit (they'll still suffice) and let us hear the car. I'm going to post some recordings of my 80 buck a piece no-chamber Magnaflows
The chip thing fell through because the SC400's computer is jacked... it's like 2 computers, one for each cylinder bank. It'd take some on-chip jumpers and 2 of those Intercrew ECU's to get the older SC's running with them, and for 1500+ dollars I'd rather leave that as my last option. Chris is trying to pull through on a reprogrammed ECU and I've got Weapon-R dedicated to building a tight, well made cold air intake for the cars.
I'm now wondering if the S-AFC is even wired correctly, given the weird way the engine control is assembled. I wonder if one would end up affecting only one cylinder bank, or something weird like that.
One thing I must ask of you is let us know how the car rides with the springs, and if you scrape anything. I'm thinking about those springs, but I wanna hear feedback.

well I can already basically tell you about the springs. One of my friends(Trudremz16) has a 93 SC3 with aftermarket struts(not sure what kind) and Eibach springs. I drove his car last month and the handling was awesome and the smoothness was still there. Bumps.........well yeah you can feel them............but there was still the luxury feel and it was well worth it. Mine will be installed tommorow afternoon and I'll let yall know how it turns out. I would record my exhaust exhaust I have nothing to record it with right now.......I think something up though. Later, Adam.
Madmax.........keep me posted on the ECU upgrades/chip upgrades/cold air intakes for our cars. Thanks.

Looks Hot!
The exhaust looks sweet.
Do the polished mufflers stand out when you look at it from the rear. I wonder if the polished cans take away from the look? I had a Greddy on a previous vehicle and that was the first thing you saw.
Is their a major or minor difference in the rumble? I was hoping it would be alot deeper under throttle but not louder if that makes sense.
Sorry for all of the ????'s but I am set to purchase and want to make sure it is worth it.

Well the exhaust doesn't really stand out unless you know much about exhausts if that makes any sense. To someone who is not paying attention, it looks almost like it coud be stock.....it's not big and round behind the tips........instead its a muffler shaped similar to the stock one. Well if you want a loud exhaust all the time.......this isn't the one to get. But I think it is the perfect exhaust to have in a performance LUXURY car. Yes, it is a loud louder under throttle. Where are you planning on purchasing it from?
