Default What do you think of this kit??

Hey guys,

Just been looking for body kits for my sc400. I stumbled on this one by RACEONUSA. I dunno if i should get it or not. Has any one tried this body kit, and what was the fitment on it? Good?. What about the quality of the product. How is it.

https://www.raceonusa.com/index.asp?...OD&ProdID=2778

RACEON HiFlex™ VERT 4-Piece Body Kit

I just want to know if anyone has every had this kit before. I mean for only $700...is it worth a shot?

Kinda on a budget, for my SC mods. Or does anyone have any opinions on this one?

It's not worth the money. You will spend a lot of money and time to make the kit fit. If you're on a budget... save your money till you can afford the real kit which will be a perfect fit.

looks cool get it, how hard can it be to make something fit, you just sand it here and there

ok so does the REAL Vertex kit fit like oem??? I was reading somewhere that it does!!

On another not, vertex kit will cost me about $2200 at Carson Toyota, Anyone know where else for cheaper??

$2200 vs $700, i mean that's a REALLY BIG DIFFERENCE. So if i could get some more feedback that would be nice.

I am a total noob. So if it fits like OEM, it would be awesome.

And would it be ok for the vert kit to be on 18 or 19, with stock suspension? Living in San francisco, has those steep hills and those deadly speedbumps. Planning on keeping stock suspension but dunno if it'll look good.

i live in sf and i have the vertex kit on 19s. if anything, if you get the raceon kit, it'll be gone within a year. my vertex kit has survived the SF roads for over 3 years now.

i always think that with that large of a price difference you can always do whats needed to make the knock off stronger and fit just as good and still save money...

unless you just want to be cool and say you got the real thing... and rock it just for the name

i like knock offs. my sides and rear are vertex knock offs from VIS. they needed some work but i did the cutting and sanding myself... and i got the sides and rear bumper for 350 shipped... thats saving probably more than 1000 just by me doing about a couple hours worth of work to make it fit... im not lazy id rather save money and buy other things for the car also... who the hell can tell... nobody says anything about it yet

If your good with body work or know someone who is, i would deff. get it. I mean, $1500 is a lot of money for "oem fitment" when hell, it might even not need that much..i think another option however would be to buy 97+ oem parts and new shoes, drop... that seems to be a very nice look. its your money, do what you want

thanks you guys for all the input. Im shop around for the vertex kit to see if i can get a good price for it. If not, then i'll settle for the RACEONUSA. If i do end up with the RACEONUSA, i'll be sure to keep you guys posted on the fitment and quality of the product.

Pictures will come soon, once i get all my parts (rims, tires, kit)

What is the real VERTEX kit made out of from Carson Toyota?

are there any other alternative sites that have the vertex kit for cheaper? Is there instructions included?

the real kit is made from handlaid frp. honestly i wouldn't buy into the crap from the knockoff companies saying that their stuff is handlaid frp too. I have seen the knockoffs in person and let me just tell you that the owner has repaired/repainted his front bumper like once a year whereas i have never had to repaire mines even after running right into a parking block when i wasn't use to the kit.
