Default Oak Steering Wheel

Does anyone know where to get an OEM lexus OAK steering wheel for a lexus sc. I saw someone selling one on ebay about 3 months ago. It was for the LS or SC. If anyone knows where I can get one please reply to this thread.

Sorry, I don't know directly offhand where you can buy a new oak steering wheel for your SC (besides the dealer). But I do know that Lexus never offered the oak steering wheel as OEM for the SC, the only time it changed was in 2000 (similiar to the 3-spoke GS steering wheel). Are you interested in having your steering wheel converted to oak or buying a new one?

I would like to buy a new steering wheel because the leather wrapping is decaying on mine. I saw an LS 90-94 steering wheel which I believe was aftermarket that fit the SC. If you have any ideas please let me know.

If you don't have any luck with the steering wheel replacement, give WHEELSKINS a try. My steering wheel startedd wearing (grainy, blackish color) and I had wheelskins installed and it is BETTER than new. It gives the steering wheel added thickness and it looks OEM. Cost plus professional install was $75.

Here's the link:

There aren't any OEM wood/leather steeing wheels for the SC, with the exception of the SC430. You can try http://www.americanstitches.com They can either recover your leather wheel, or convert it into a wood/leather wheel.

Also, if your wood trim is like the OEM wood in other Lexus vehicles, it is burled california walnut.

I have a few post here and on my yahoo site of my custom intake...

**** https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...5&pagenumber=7

I got my steering wheel, brake handle, and shifter redone for a very small amount of $$$...

Call a couple of leather/vinyl/upholstery repair persons/shops and ask them for their prices of redying/repairing you wheel.

I'll try to post some better upclose pics later.. It looks as good as new again. Expecially if you have the mocha/cinnamon color steering wheel(or any color for thatt matter).

Here's a scoop too... Most Lexus dealer's used this type of guys to "touch up" the used cars on their lots from worn seats, seat tears, to steering wheels to bring the car up to top conditioning. I found this out from a couple guys from the used car dept...

They say it is common practice in the used car market... It makes sense. An ugly A$$ wheel will hurt the mint appeal of a car.. But for about $40 - 50 bucks and PRESTO:eek: the interior is mint again...
