Cars are a labor of love... Love the car and the labor you put in it... It's time and money we will not get back, but the love of the car is what drives us...

Great project and alot of knowledge gained along the way!!!

If you can find one install a factory airbox in place of that snorkel setup and get a TRD filter for it-- then just do the BFI setup-- you'll be glad you did-- Snorkels suck on these cars-- and most others--

BFI -- http://planetsoarer.com/indexfull.html#BFI

Yeah unfortunately

Huge overspray BUT the car is looking much better than when you first started, nice I reckon keep the front bar as is (chuck in some OEM foggies) but I think it looks better without the grille

There is tasteful modding, and there is ghetto fabulous. Sadly my second go around on Club Lexus, the latter is very common amongst the SC crowd.

I feel like I am rolling with a bunch of poor ES Lexus people, who are driving nothing but glorified Camrys.
ouch. my main gripe about the SC forum is that i hear this over and over. i love the SC, but some of the members here act as if it's still a $50,000 car that deserves only the best parts. like the older ES's, the SC is old can be had for $4-6k now. not many people would spend $3k on a body kit that would go on a car that only costs a bit more. also like the ES, it can be made to look nice if you mod it right. we're all a lexus family here.

to thread starter, that's some nice work you've done by yourself. i'm not feeling the color too much but you totally saved that car. definately black out everything that got oversprayed. if i got a knockoff kit, i'd paint my car black imo. a light color shows the flaws. a bit late for that though.

I think u should ditch the headlights, with some chrome or clear ones and get some 97 Taillights
But i think its a great project for you, since your still in Hs and have money to drop it in the car.

Damn, nice job. I'm in the process of restoring my SC also. First, I want to make sure all is good mechanically then I'm gonna start on the cosmetics. Saving the money is a pain though... Good job and good luck with your car.

hey fwynn!

Car sounds great with the mufflers, is it axle back or cat back?

New paint job looks like it shines a lot more now!

have you taken off your bumper to get rid of the overspray? when you do it will look 100 times better!

keep up the work man!

I miss the high beams, but everything else is looking good. Got to paint the mesh black though. It will look cleaner that way.
