ALright..........I was trying to install my eibach's today with one of my friends and we could not pull the damn strut out. We tried using a spring/strut compressor and everything. One of us would stand on the rotors to pull it down so the other one could pull the top of the strut out and it would not come out. We unscrewed the 3 bolts on rings on top of the strut and the main one at the bottom. And nothing worked. It felt as if it were getting caught on something. Any help would be great. Thanks, Adam

u also need to also remove the following:
-brake caliper
-front fender splash
-washer tank (driver side only)
-abs speed sensor and wire harness (only detach from body and upper suspension arm)
-upper suspension arm (the big bolt and nut. you'll need a breaker bar or air tools for this cuz it's ton tight, 121 ft-lbs)
*might also be helpful to remove the stabilizer bar linkage to get the lower control arm to go down even lower to remove the strut.
*also note, some of the above might not be needed but it makes it easier. this post might actually be better suited in the suspension section.

Make sure you are removing the control link from the suspension to the sway bar. If not, then every time you push down on the assembly, the sway bar is "pushing" back.
