I had saved a Soarer World thread with seat wiring info, but it looks like an account is needed to view it now. From my old notes used for making an adapter for a RX8 seat, it looks like pin #7 (thick blue/white) is +12V and pin #12 (thick white/black) is Ground. If you can clip onto those, you should be able to operate the seat's motors.

The 2 largest wires in the center of the seat harness are what powers the seat motors. Depending on which way you hook them up, the seats will move forward or backwards when using the side adjusters.

The bolt trick works both ways. Forward and back, but you have to turn each bolt a little at a time so the seat doesn't get stuck at an angle.

If the bolts are coming undone when you try to move it forward, then move the seat all the way back, so you can torque the bolts down, then slowly move each side forward a little at a time. Once the seat gets a little crooked, the bolts will come undone or shear the gears inside.
