How do I move dead seats in a 95 SC300?
#31
I had saved a Soarer World thread with seat wiring info, but it looks like an account is needed to view it now. From my old notes used for making an adapter for a RX8 seat, it looks like pin #7 (thick blue/white) is +12V and pin #12 (thick white/black) is Ground. If you can clip onto those, you should be able to operate the seat's motors.

Bringing this back from the dead....I have a parts car that has no wire harness in it so no place to hook up a battery and get these seats moving so I can get to the bolts and remove them.
I was wondering if anyone has figured a way to connect a battery to the fuse panel or to the seat directly to get them to move? Both seats were already as far back as they could go when I got the car. Unfortunately, the tips above only work if you're trying to get the seat to the back, not the front. While I have been able to take off the front two bolts, I am not going to break the bracket for the rear two (someone mentioned above) because I need the seat bracket.
Any advice or tips would be appreciated.

The bolt trick works both ways. Forward and back, but you have to turn each bolt a little at a time so the seat doesn't get stuck at an angle.
If the bolts are coming undone when you try to move it forward, then move the seat all the way back, so you can torque the bolts down, then slowly move each side forward a little at a time. Once the seat gets a little crooked, the bolts will come undone or shear the gears inside.
