I'm picking up a set of 6K H3's tomorrow for my fog (driving) lights.
I removed my fogs today. There is simply NO WAY IN HELL that I could do it without dropping the skid plate. I have super small hands but there was no way they were going to get that top nut towards the outside fender.

No biggie though, just removed the bottom bolts and dropped the skid plate enough to reach in and get those outside nuts. Not too bad really.
I'll have HID fogs tomorrow!!

Nice write-up. I am currently replacing my low beams, high beams, and fog lights to Sylvania Silverstars but decided to check CL first and see what everyone says. I unfortunately can't afford HIDs. I've read reviews in Amazon, and random forums on the net with negative reviews. The main complaint was short life for all Silverstars.

To the people that have or had them, should I be prepared to switch these out every year?

How long have they last you?

THANKS ALL!

I have cheap Nokya brand for foglights and it's been a year and its fine. I think the voltage or watts has something to do with the failure, you have to use the specified watts.

Ummm, I was asking about the Silverstars that are a direct replacement to the stock bulbs. Thanks for the info though for Nokya.
