As someone said earlier, the front lip is from Wisesports. The sides are oem 97+ and the rear is Erebuni. I did it this way to be original and uncopied. Most people aren't gonna pay 500+ for a front lip, then have it painted. As much as I hate the cheap Erebuni stuff, it looks pretty good with the wisesports lip. I think it's hot, too!

Naw, not for me. Reliability and longevity are too important to me. I've heard too many horror stories. I'm gonna do an exhaust and inatake. If that's not enough, a mild supercharger, just a bolt on for a little juice. I am NOT going to take chances on this sweet engine and I'm not gonna swap it for something I don't full history on. Any swap I do would be a brand new, out of the box motor but that costs too much.

 

Not to go too much off topic and start any wars but I'm curious to what horror stories you've heard with the 1J or any Toyota JZ series for that matter.

 

We should bash the skull of the very next person who asks "what lip is that?"

or simply brand them the "CL lame-o of the month" Either or is fine with me.

 

Since many bestow that honor on me anyways, I might as well earn it by asking "what lip is that," though the answer is clearly stated in post 6.

Nice pics Reg.. that SC would have shined at the meet just the G35.. You have some nice cars..

 

Thanks Tony but I don't think I would call the G "just" a G35. It has an aftermarket front lip, rear spoiler and wheels plus a drop. Future plans include carbon interior, carbon engine cover, beefed up music and maybe some 20's.

That SC is sweet though. It's the long term keeper in the family.

 

might as well pay for the wise lip..dealer quoted me 500 for the stock lip

 

Call Steve Ganz at Carson Toyota, ask for the Clublexus discount. If you can't reach Steve, call the wholesale parts dept and mention CL.

 

I remember a shop damaged the Wise lip. Did it get repaired or is that a new lip?
