when my accord got wrecked, the airbag almost knocked me out, and the wreck wasnt even that bad. Im sticking with my Momo wheel, I wear my seatbelt 100% of the time though.

personally, i dont trust air bags. I have only heard stories of how people get all banged up by getting hit by the air bag, and sometimes the collisions havent even been all that bad. i wear my seat belt all the time, 24/7!! i havent disconnecting mine or anything but i can definitely do with driving without an airbag. i have also driven older cars didnt dont come with air bags and i feel a bit safer...

An airbag saved me once, so I trust them. It feels like getting punched in the face, but not nearly as bad, and it's dispersed throughout your face. haha. Also, one time my friends and I witnessed an accident and we got out and helped. The girl who was driving got 4 of her teeth knocked out by the steering wheel because she didn't have an airbag. I don't want that to be me. I'll stick with airbags. You just never know.

Drive with a pillow

Ok, seriously, I haven't actually experienced anything with the airbag to say how significant it is in preventing injury, but I'll say one thing. If they put it in, it's probably for a good reason.

if you wear your seatbelt you should be good to go.

i prided my 240sx for the fact it had no airbags, no abs, no anything that could be considered safe. and we all know the stupid things people do with those cars (like i did with mine).

Airbags only save stupid people and people of abnormal size/shape

I heard they don't work after about 5-7 years and need maintenance. Is that true?
