99navette, This reminds me of The Brady Buch episode, when Peter breaks the vase playing B-ball in the house. Did you see it?...it was a beauty!
Cracks appearing out of thin air that a good one.

The trucking company could certainly have did it. I have friend that bought a slammed mustang and they managed to break a section off the front spoiler. Glass cracks easy when hit.

Funny,

I almost bought that car (nearly sent a deposite). I was in Tampa FL during a bowl game (UT vs. Penn St.) this year and was going to look at two cars, a red N/A mk4 and that white SC300.

Anthony was very SHADY about the cars condition and would not answer my questions in detail like I asked, he would just beat around the path. I called him up one night and was not impressed at all by the conversation.

And oddly enough, the guy selling the MK4 told me that Anthony did not have an exactly " peachy " background in the Tampa Fl. scene. The guy sold the MK4 a week later, knowing that I would not take his word just to buy his supra, told me the lown down on the car. I wont spill the beans on here, but it was not great news.
Much like, if you took a magnet to the side of the car, it would not stick. LOL

Sorry to hear about your mistake. Hope all is going to turn out ok.

No, but i'm takeing this up with my attorney. The information that Simann told me will surely win the case against Anthony Amato and hopefully he will never try and pull some shady **** like this again.

Thanks Simann and I will contact that other user.

I'm just saying, that's a lot of money to toss without going over the whole thing in person. That's a hard lesson. I hope everything works out for him.

With my schedual for work and school I have no time to take off and go look at a car. There are more good sellers than there are bad and from what Simann told me, Anthony might be one of the worst.

<--- Another advocate of STAYING AWAY from Luxury Motors.

They were straight-up sketchy from start to finish. Checked out a 98 sc3 on the lot - was in fair shape, some bad interior wear, saw an ad for it in the Trib for $12,900.

I called two days later, their salesman gave me every one-liner he knew, including my personal favorite -
Sales Jerk: "This car is an absolute STEAL for $14,500."
Me: "Um... I'm staring at an ad for it asking $12,900."
Sales Jerk: "Let me check with my manager..... Sir, I am proud to announce I can offer you this car today for $12,900."

Went the private-owner route instead, SO happy I did.

These things are kinda scarce, and making the trip to see/drive it for yourself is well worth it. I went down to Cincinnati for mine.

By the way, what is up with downtown Cincinnati at night? Absolute ghosttown...
