Question Eastwood Fender Roller any good?

Has anyone here bought or used an Eastwood Fender Roller on their SC?

I was thinking about buying one instead of paying someone to do it for me. For about the same money I might as well have the part to use for the rest of my life.

Thoughts?
Ideas?
Suggestions?
Insight?
Actual User accounts?

Thanks guys and gals!!!!

You can rent one for like $50 plus shipping and they send you a heat gun with it. Got to use a heat gun. Another member on here talked me out of rolling due to how old the paint is on our cars. He recommended me to someone that will actually shave the fender down and galvanize/paint them for protection for like $40 per fender.

Make sure you heat the paint from inside and from the outside as you are rolling and do it in warm weather, otherwise heating it won't really make a difference cause it will cool down again before you can roll it.

I have used that on many a car as well along with a hand torch, hard plastic mallet, and electrical tape.

Cover the visible paint with electrical tape to prevent the paint from being burnt, and start heating it up doin wide passes on the inside of the fender with the torch like 6 inches away. (Heat up till its hot to the touch)

Do that for about 5 mins. Then start with a hard plastic mallet, and slowly bang in the inside of the fender from one side to the other, till its almost flush with the external skin. (You are not using the maklket to roll/pull, only to bend)

Then start with the roller and make even passes from left to right and back again. Dont go halfway and back as that will cause the fender to become warped. Start conservatively, and measure to make sure that your custom oredered rims that were so uber flush don't become sunk due to an over eager roll! I spend about 30-60 min per fender, invest in it, and you won't be sorry!

I used that exact fender roller with a heat gun. I used nothing else. It worked great. I just took my time getting used to the device and took my time with the fenders. It took five or so roller angle adjustments to get the roll flush, but I did without any trouble.

I started by removing the weather strip on the fender lip. I then wiped down the inside and outside of the fender lip so as not to integrate any rocks into my roll job. I jacked up the car, bolted on the fender roller, heated up the paint and went to work. I chipped no paint (ad it was 40-degrees in the garage at best).

For $250, I will have this thing for any and all of my cars in the future. I think it is a sound investment.

It will be 80-90 degrees here so that combined with the heat gun should work fine. I am not too worried about my paint as long as I dont rush things.
