wow, I believe I'd take out a loan for $2,500-$3,500 if it would take that to have a 5 star paint job.

Well, Can you provide more information on how good your paint jobs are, and what quality, and how long they last on average? Basically I'm looking for the paint job Lexus used when they MADE the car back 15 years ago=That quality paint job. I'm trying to find it for as low as I can find it at.

PPG = great OEM paint, House of Color = Great aftermarket paint with flare, Dupont = Not sure about this one, Sherwin-Williams = I think a few of the one day paint shops use their products. And by the way soon enough you won't find that same paint anymore, all shops are required to switch to water based paints in the near future. New lexus vehicles are already using water based paint. That is why the color is alot brighter and more vibrant.

Yeah Dupont's good stuff.....IF, and only if, it's done well. I had my mustang repainted from keyed-white to BMW Carbon Black Metallic with Lexus 'Dark Grey Metallic' (That RX300 color with every imaginable color flake in it)... it looked AWESOME. But the guy that did it wasn't very good and road chips made it look like I shot my front bumper with a shotgun in <1year. =0(.

....But I drive a Lexus now ;-)

Great information mrhappi, kudos to you atxishome for the awesome paint mix. Hmmm which would you recommend to get? I mean which one lasts the longest and that I can get with less than or equal to $1500? Basically whats the best paint I can get for 1500 and less?
