Default TEIN CS Drop w/ Pictures

A lot of people were complaining the CS series does not drop the car low enough. Well I inquired about it and spoke to my supplier. the NEW series is a much lower drop. 2.4" front and 2.5" rear. i think it's a solid coilover and it's perfect what we need. we aren't auto crossing, just cruising with spirited driving. right now the stiffness is set to exact middle, and it rides noticeably better than the tokico/espelir combo. last summer we had ALL bushings (upper/lower/front/rear/steering rack bushings replaced with daizens). i installed these coilovers myself in a few hours. here are some quick pictures before the g/f drove off. keep in mind the rim/tire is 17x7.5 w/ 235/45/17 tire. i think a nice 10" wide wheel will fill out the drop nicely.

wow that is pretty low. i am considering getting coilovers but how are the tien? Everyone I ask say that tien is not good at all. Though the people I talk to have high standards, my friend has the hks hypermax and loves them. Is tien really that bad like alot of people say they are? When getting coilvers for my 240 i settled with silkroad and i never looked back, they were great.

pretty nice, im on the medium setting and its comfortable. like i said, more comfortable than the tokico/espelir. it's not bouncy at all and takes dips/bumps much better. could go even softer but i dont see a need. oh yea, i measured each corner too, the teins dropped about 6 lbs per corner compared to the tokico/espelir combo.

ive heard all the same, i would agree if the car was being tracked but it's not. this is my 4th TEIN install (4 seperate cars) and not one has had problems. they ride great, drop the car, and perform great for street driving. i have also dealt with JIC which are much more aggressive. i have no complaints, for what you get, i think the price is right.

oh yea, the perches are on the lowest setting, and it's only been just about a week since install, so it may settle a bit more.

are the coils maxed out in your pictures or do you still have room to go lower?

perches are on the lowest settings, but it's been only 1 week since the install, so the springs may settle a bit, i hope the front does, it's a bit higher than the back.

true, i thought the same thing, but these werent extremely expensive coilovers, by the time you add the price and shipping of new shocks, springs, get a spring compressor, switch the top mounts, for a few extra hundred you get a complete kit with more functionality. but i can understand the budget thing, thats why i originally had the tokico/espelir until i could get these. thanks for the comments guys.

What was your cost again to your door after tax? And where did you order them from? I ask because I've been looking to pick up a set of CS for a while and you just reinvigorated my desire.

Your car looks similar to a car I have seen before

Nice drop. I am on supra suspension with Tein lowering springs and this might be the thread that convinces me to go the coilover route!!!
