HID's on my 97SC3
I finally pulled the trigger on these, they're McCulloc 9006 6k bulbs off ebay (they also have a web site) $240 shipped and I'm damn happy with them. I don't care what anyone says my gs4's are maybe a little brighter but that's because of the lens and the 4K stock temp. I had the sylverstar 9005 conv in my low beams before, this blows that crap away. But anyway, these are way brighter than halogin and my fogs are stock and you can see how YELLOW they look next to these, VERY HAPPY. ENJOY!!

I only drive the car 6 months out of the year up here in CT if I'm lucky. I'm not worried about life span. I'm sure they'll be fine. I also had power draw issues due to the stereo so these guys def help at 35watts. Anyone considering the HID plug and play DO IT!! Retro fit is a good idea but its too much down time for me. I spent a month alone in my off time fiberglassing 6.5 inch speakers in the front doors. It's just not worth it to me.

most people have seen it already... but u get to see it again! =) hehehe
I think retrofitting would be too much downtime as well, but I was considering delining in front of the projector though...

Stock projectors. There's no color flicker or anything but there is a nice cut-off. I don't think it's worth the time. The 6.5's were a PAIN. First I tried usuing the factory enclosure and fiberglassing it... took me 2 weeks and the door panel didn't fit on by like .5 inches. So then I said screw it and tried mdf, wouldn't fit again due to the size. So I machined out the exact size in the wood and drilled the speakers from the back (Does that make sense?) and it fit fine. Sounds good but the small whole in the door panel for the 4" speaker does block a lot of the sound. As good as its gettin I suppose... def sounds better than stock but I've heard other cars that sounded better.

I heard that for our cars the Acura TSX projectors are the common retrofit. Whats do you guys think? Also the other projectors that BMW and other brands use are fuzzy and don't give as sharp of a light as the TSX projectors.

TSX, Audi TT/BMW 3-series(E46), Bmw X5 (E39)...these projectors have been retrofitted into SC headlights...please do a search on the forums for pictures & writeups about them. Also checking the Lighting forum for FAQ's on why retrofitting is the way to go...
Nice car/color...after my retro, I'll never go back to halogens.
