id get the craftsman racing jack for 2 reasons:
1. its great and its really low
2. if it breaks, Sears will take it back (i used to work for sears and once had to take back a 4yr old christmas tree that this lady brought in.. they are so determined on making the customer happy, they will take it back.. trust me. if they dont, complain and then they will take it back lol)

If I recall correctly it was in the 180 range.
Sucks that you had poor experiences with the Craftsman jacks. Although an inconvenience they should have still been guaranteed right? Or does the "lifetime guarantee" only apply to hand tools?

The life time gaurantee only applies to hand tools. Floor jacks have a 1 year limited warranty and receipt is required for it. Anything with moving parts is only a 1 year limited warranty unless otherwise stated. The only exception to the moving parts thing is ratchets. They wouldn't even change my torque wrench because I didn't bring a receipt with me to prove I bought it within a year.

harbor freight us general jack 3 ton low profile best bang for the buck. no matter what my car is too low for any low profile jack anyways. and the nose is too long for ramps lol. i have to drive up on 2x4's then place a low profile jack on the driver side( i have it sit slightly higher for corner balance to compensate for my weight when i drive) then place another low profile jack under my cross member thats why drifters hate changing the front tires.
for the back its easy place jack under differential then i angle the stick out the empty slot for my exaust in the factory bumper i run a single exaust so it gives me great clearence to pump.

I received the Matco jack yesterday. It fits nicely under an sc300/400 with an OEM suspension, and it reaches all the way to the engine cross member support.
