I got 18x9.5 to fit just fine. Having big rear tires makes your car look like a real contender... totally legitimizes a lot of otherwise "misplaced" looking mods, like big tips... you aren't a buster with a rice rocket when you got those big meats under the pipes, you're a Porsche killin badass
My rims are L-Tuned (Lexus OZ Salina wheels for the GS) 18x9.5r 18.8.5f wheels and Michelin Pilot Sport tires for 2300 dollars, straight from the dealer.
One note, the L-Tuned people may have made the wheels with the correct offsets for the SC's and GS's because they figured people like me would buy them... if you look at other brands, I think the minimum is 43mm.

Thumbs up

I have 18 x 10 enkie v1's in the rear. Fit with no problem except you will need to trim or roll the inner fender depending on how wide a tire your going to use. The rule of thumb is, if it fits the mkiv supra it'll fit the sc.

9" - 9.5" rears will be fine. Going any wider will be cause for problems, unless you know exactly what you are doing as far as offest goes.

I'm running 9" and have had 295's on the back with NO rubbing or modification required.

Cool...Thanks guys. I'm probably gonna get some Volk GT-P's and they only come in whole numbers...no 9.5's. I think I'll stick with 18x8 and 18x9. Thanks!

Any more input is welcomed
