What lip are you adding to the 97, a 92-96?
92-96 lip will fit but needs a little bit of cutting and extending. as for the 50/50 split, you have to factor in all the people going JIC just so you will put your 97+ kit on the market

Stay with the 97+, your car is perfect as is. I think the JIC will detract from the appeal of the car, and in a few years it will look dated. The 97+ is timeless. But, if you go with the JIC I'll be in line for the parts...

i like it the way it is... one small change though - lower the front an extra 1/2" or so...

I'll be honest by telling you that the JIC kit is a pain in the ***. I love the way my car looks, but it is just way too low. I would stick with what you have if you can't deal with scraping everywhere.

Its funny you say that, Thats what is keeping me from installing it. Its hanging out in the shop for now, I just cant decide. Maybe I should have bought a AC or Wald?

Or custom fit the pre 97 lip onto the 97+ front bumper? That is super clean with a bit of an aftermarket flair

Yeah, seriously though... the JIC kit is SUPER low; like royal PITA low. It's kinda annoying.

Yeah, I'll gladly take that front bumper off your hands!! Honestly though, I Like the OEM/clean/sleeper look....that's what I'd stick with!

Stick with the 97. It looks cleaner and very sexy.

If you already have the JIC kit with you then just put it on! Then think about it later, if you don't like it just change it back to stock 97. Try it first since you have got the kit already.
