Yeah it serves it purpose, but wouldn't you rather have a working unit??
Yes...it serve the purpose of "show." A lot of "show" guys will go for "show", before go.

I'm neither hyping up lambo conversion nor saying that it's a practical thing to do...the point that I was trying to get across was that extreme customization, such as what this person did with his SC gets show points.

Here's an analogy....for buttkissers at the job. You may not agree with your boss, but you wanna score points. So what do you do? You go with the flow and pucker up.

We've all seen trophy cars that we may have considered "whack," but they got the trophies by appealing to the judges, not necessarily to all the spectators. Whether we like it or not...that's just part of the game.

And as for you, Supreme94', its your car, your money. Go get your lambo doors if that's what you want. Don't others make your decisions for you. If your car turns out "whack," according to others, oh well.

I think you missed the point of the humor here.

The analogy says "It serves its PURPOSE", meaning: "We know why it was done", "But wouldn't you rather have a working unit." meaning: "Creating show cars like this is just due to the impracticality/gaudiness/silliness (pick your adjective).

Oh..I did get the humor the first time. I agree with you guys, clean styling is better in my opinon. On the other hand, going back to my one and only point, "impracticality/gaudiness/sillinesss" often do win points.

But anyways...cheers.
