Default Speedometer Issues

I just bought a used speedometer from a member on CL thats been done at lextech. I installed it and everything seemed fine for about a day. Now when i turn my car on my gas always starts on empty and my engine temperate gauge always starts a 1/4 of the way heated. they go back to original postioning after i drive for about 10 mins. anyone else ever have this kind of problem. this speedometer has 189k miles on it and i am starting to regret buying it. it just looks really sexy blue and white.

What do you mean "original positioning"? Where it should be or back to zero? It's hard to say what has happened to it over it's life or even during shipping when it was shipped to you. Give me a PM and I'll try and see where it's at while we go through some check up procedures. Clusters are touchy, but nothing that is a hassle to get straight, you just need to run through a checklist to figure out what has happened. Most of the time they are just shaken up from my experience.

His screws are likely not the issue. Your cluster had been opened more times than Marilyn Monroe

You may have disturbed the wiring when installing it? I had strange behaviour from my speedometer until I tracked it down to a block connector which wasn't pushed all the way home.
