Question Questions...

Hey, just wondering a few things about my SC300.

1. How do I change the battery in the keyless entry key? Just take the screw out and pull apart hard? Also, at what distances will it work?

2. Is there a way to wire an input to the stock stereo (premium).

3. Who sells the toyomoto turbo manifold for the cheapest price?

4. What is the max turbo size that will clear the distributor, etc.

5. Where can I get the thicker head gasket (8.5:1) for the lowest price?

6. Where can I buy the Soarer emblems?

7. Anyone know the F/R weight distrobution? How about L/R?

8. Can I buy syncros for the 5 speed? Is it a Getrag?

You can buy tint spray that made specifically to darken or blackout your tailights. The Japanese stores that sell air fresheners and the like have a blackout spay to blackout your tailights but can peel off if, you decide to revert back to stock. I've never tried it so, I don't know how well it works. I think it was around $20-35 but don't remember exactly.

Toyomoto is the only one that sells their manifold, and its $1000...

just find a 2jz-ge headgasket and find out what mm thickness you need for the 8.5:1

Max turbo size I would venture is any T-series... anything bigger than that, its kinda dumb to run distributor-based ignition
anything bigger than a T04E requires a plate if i'm not mistaken... ask Scott (SC300T) he has a T60-1 on his car... pretty big turbo; and he's using the toyomoto manifold.

look around on the many import shops mentioned and you can get soarer emblems... i believe Jeff (SC300TURBO) has them on his car, and one other guy here just got the Griffin emblem as well

F/R is 53/47

L/R i have no idea

buy synchros? what for? are they out? i'm sure you can, call your local toyota dealership...
or go find a used 5-speed tranny and replace yours (or better yet a 6-speed if you can swing the $1500+ on the tranny and $850 on other parts involved)

as far as distances, mine only works within 10ft of the car...

The tranny is notchy when shifting to second and fifth. I was thinking about the 6-speed conversion, but need more money. Maybe Redline will clear it up for a while.

Thanks.
