I could care less, to me, an SC is an SC. I've been through rebuilding a motor, so I don't mind a high mileage one though I would like it to be low in miles.

2008 Saturn Sky Redline Convertible 0 miles - Price -29k (100k mile warranty)
2002 Lexus Sc430 40k miles - Price - 35k (warranty expired)

sky- 0-60 in 5.0 seconds / 1/4 mile 14.0
sc430 - 0-60 6.2 seconds / 1/4 mile 14.6

Insurance is also about 200 more every 6 months for the 2002 sc430
Its really not a very unrealistic comparison.

I really love the reliability, luxury and status of the lexus but im really leaning towards the sky on this one. it seems like the better deal imo.

If your going to do what I am doing, an older model is the better move by far!!!

No SC3/4 could ever best my own SC so hell no would I ever get a '98.

Only way out is step up to SC430.

Or the third option which is working out great: One turbo SC and one supercharged Mini Cooper.

Best of two VERY different worlds and couldn't be having any more fun without involving hookers.

98+ only for the choice.
I totally agree about the 97, it felt...even smelled just like my 95. The 98+ is a different feeling.
To answer the post question, yes, I'd do it. Actually, that's my plan too.
