Mine is a 97 (technically a 98 model over in the US)... plus it's a turbo so it's already an upgrade And yes I upgraded from an early series (93 TT) to a late series (97 single T)... hopefully by sometime next year another one will be added to the stable (late 96~ 3.0L/SC300 for the gf).

when i graduate at the end of next fall i will most likely begin looking for a new car ... Looking at
Corvette z06 - love em in championship white 2001 only
BMW 3 series - i always have loved em either 335i or e46 m3
maybe my dads is300 5sp if he wants to sell me it for a good price and eventually do na-t and 6sp

Sorry I'm not a SC owner, but I had to agree with kietlander, turned 24 end of last year, and drove a 5 speed Integra GS-R, and now I feel old, and drive a GS430...

And for whoever said it: the sky redline will absolutely run circles around any stock sc, and by a long way. It will suck for luggage and taking more than one person, though.

What's the big change in 98 other than the VVT and tranny?
And 24 is old now??? I'm turning 22 this summer, and I will NOT stop driving a sports car until I am physically unable to. I keep seeing all these people trading in their sexy 2 door coupes for minivans just because they had a kid or two. Honestly, I see that as quitting. If I ever decide I need a "family" car, I'll buy an STi

Due to the rarity of 98+ SC400, their resale values have been pretty steady. Tough choice for me I love the 98+ design but I might consider a 00+ W208 CLK430 instead. if I were in the market for a sporty coupe again.
