thats not the problem...well there is no problem at all..i KNOW i need 4 screws...the problem is the dealer doesn;t have the part number for those screws anymore...so im screwed. but no i just made the holes bigger and used american bolts rather than based on the metric system which they were

The spoiler was treated as an accessory and never came standard in the car until the 98 production year. The only way you could of gotten a spoiler on the car was to buy it seperat or if the dealer put it on before he sold the car and then told you it was factory. On many cases most dealers did put on the spoiler when it came available twords the end of the year, to make the car look nicer and complete the new body style.

So your parts salesman is right!!
yeah i knew it was an accessory just couldn't determine whats goin on

i went to over 5 shops, many specializing in metric screws. every professional guy out there...businesses that have been running for over 30 yrs. the man said this is a size in between a 4 and a 5 in metric unit system for screws. 3 professionals in diferent shops said the same.

so tell me what fits instead and i'll do it!
